John said slowly, lifting his head to face Karkat. Tears were in his eyes, and he had finally gained the courage to say something. For a while, he had been wanting to ask this question, though he was constantly scared to ask, afraid he might make Karkat angry in some way. Of course, he knew he would do it sometime.
"Karkat.. why do you hate me?"
